Ellen Matilda Hawkins (1865- 1925 ) married twice. Firstly she married her cousin John Wilson (1854 -1899), who had previously been married to her sister Margaret. When Margaret died in 1882 not long after childbirth, it appears Ellen stepped in to look after her little nieces. She then married John Wilson and had 8 children with him.

2. Fanny (1886 - 1886)
3. Harold (1887 - 1887)
4. Elwin Alfred (1890 - 1966) married Jessie Pearce in 1920.
5. Reuben (1893 - ?)
6. Ada (1894 -1976) married Darcy Pye
7. Melvin (1897 - 1918) died in WW 1.
8. John Darcy (1899 - ?)
After John's death Ellen then married John's younger brother George Henry Wilson (1871 - 1959). Together they had two children.
1. Daisy Miriam (1901 -?) married ? Quartermain
2. Brinsley Bruce Septimus (1903 - 1972) married Beryl An Wilson.
