Hannah Davis and John Stanford & Albert Baker

Hannah Davis (1834 - 1896) married John Stanford in 1852 at St Peters Church of England in Richmond. After John's death in 1856, Hannah married Albert Baker in 1866 in Orange, NSW. Hannah died from cancer at the age of 61, a lovely obituary appeared in the Molong Argus on December 4, 1896. Albert died in 1904. You can read a newspaper story about Albert here.

With John Stanford Hannah had the following children, both born in Kurrajong:

1.Thomas (1853 -1932) married Fanny Willis in 1892 - they had 4 children. You can read Thomas's obituary here.

2. Robert G (1855 - 1923) married Sarah Willis in 1880 - they had 8 children.

John died in Kurrajong in 1856 of an accidental gunshot wound - read the article here.

Following John's death, Hannah moved to the Orange district of New South Wales. She already had family in the area. In 1866, she married Albert Baker and they had the following children, all born in Orange NSW:

1. Charlotte (1867 - 1894) married Edwin Bradley in 1890. They had two daughters, Gladys born in 1891 and Olive born in 1893. There are two newspaper articles reflecting on Charlotte's life which you can read here and here.
